Pepper Spray Gun Found in East Brunswick Traffic Stop
A Woodbridge man was charged with having a pepper spray gun in his car when he was stopped on Old Bridge Turnpike.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - A Woodbridge man was charged with having a pepper spray gun in his car when he was stopped in East Brunswick Twp. earlier this month.
An East Brunswick police officer pulled the car over at Old Bridge Turnpike and West Prospect Street at 3 a.m. on Feb. 10 for a motor vehicle violation. The officer said he detected an odor of raw marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. Patrolman Mauro had the driver exit the vehicle and detected the odor of marijuana upon the driver as well.
A search of the driver, a 22-year-old Woodbridge man, revealed a Jet Protector JPX OC (capsaicin) gun used to shoot pepper spray, as well as a quantity of marijuana. He was charged with possession of an imitation firearm, possession of over .75 ounces of OC spray (pepper spray) and possession of marijuana.
