EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ —The East Brunswick Police Department recently held a "historic" promotion and swearing-in ceremony at the Jo Ann Magistro Performing Arts Center, in Hammarskjold Middle School.
Police Chaplain, Pastor Bruce Smith began the ceremony by leading those gathered in a small prayer. Mayor Brad Brad Cohen, Councilman Kevin McEvoy, Councilwoman Sharon Sullivan, and Township Business Administrator Joe Criscuolo were present at the ceremony.
"While there may be a lot we could take from what's going on in the outside world, whether it's national or state, we watch those (crime) statistics very closely here," Cohen said.
