Police Raid East Brunswick 'Heroin House'

A home on a beautiful, quiet suburban street was raided last Friday night by East Brunswick police.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — East Brunswick police raided an alleged drug house on Allison Drive last Friday and found a man selling large amounts of heroin and marijuana out of the home, they said.

The East Brunswick Police Department’s Special Investigative Unit executed a narcotics search warrant at about 9 p.m. Friday at a home in the unit block of Allison Drive. Resident Manuel Santiago was inside. The search warrants were a result of a two-month-long investigation by the Anti-Crime Unit, which revealed Santiago distributing heroin within East Brunswick Township, Lt. Sean Goggins said.

After searching the home, police found Santiago in possession of nearly 11 bricks of heroin, totaling 530 bags, eight films of suboxone, a narcotic painkiller, as well as hypodermic syringes, digital scales and a large number of empty bags and rubber bands used for packaging heroin. Raw marijuana was also found in the home, police said.
