Police Searching For Car That Hit Runner, Fled Scene In East Brunswick

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — The East Brunswick Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a car that hit a runner and fled on March 16.

On March 16 at around 9:54 p.m., the East Brunswick Police responded to a hit and run accident on Old Bridge Turnpike near Gunia Street where a pedestrian was struck while running.

The vehicle, described only as champagne or gold in color, continued driving southbound on Old Bridge Turnpike after striking the victim, who sustained injuries to his right arm, back and stomach, police reported.

Located in the area of the accident was a portion of a front passenger side bumper possibly from the suspect vehicle.
