A Pound Of Marijuana Found At East Brunswick Lukoil, Cops Say
East Brunswick police say they stopped a car carrying over a pound of marijuana at the Lukoil gas station on Rt. 18.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — East Brunswick police say they stopped a car carrying over a pound of marijuana at the Lukoil gas station on Rt. 18 earlier in February.
On Sunday, Feb. 18, at 11:15 p.m., East Brunswick patrolman Christian Longhitano observed an occupied vehicle illegally parked in a handicapped stall at the Lukoil at 344 Rt. 18. He spoke to both occupants, Torin Reid, 28, of Woodside, NY and Luis Rodriguez, 36, of Jamaica, NY, and Ptl. Longhitano said he detected the odor of raw marijuana emanating from the passenger compartment of the vehicle.
A search revealed a quantity of marijuana on both Reid and Rodriguez, police said. Additionally, one pound of marijuana was located during a search of the motor vehicle, police also said.

Torin and Rodriguez were charged with distribution of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Torin and Rodriguez were both released ROR pending court.
