PSEG Phone Scam in East Brunswick, Residents Report

Someone is pretending to be with PSEG and calling residents, demanding payment or the electricity will be turned off.

East Brunswick, NJ - Someone is pretending to be with PSE&G and calling residents in the Milltown area, demanding payment or the electric will be turned off, Milltown police warned Wednesday.

The same type of calls are being reported in East Brunswick as well, police there confirmed, saying "a few" East Brunswick residents have reported receiving the calls as well. The callers demand that customers make a payment within hours using a pre-paid credit card or their service will be disconnected. Do not give any information or payment over the phone, police warn.
