Recycling Center Hours Extended In East Brunswick Beginning Wednesday
The Recycling Center hours will be extended until August 31, to address issues with waste and recycling pickup delays.
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — As the Township's garbage and recycling pickup woes continue, East Brunswick has decided to extend the Recycling Center hours.
Beginning Wednesday, the Recycling Center hours will be extended until 7 p.m., August 31. This will provide residents with more opportunities to mitigate the collection issues with Solterra (IWS), the township said. This will include solid waste and recycling.

- The recycling center is open to East Brunswick Residents only. Proper ID is required.
- Only residential materials can be disposed
- Construction debris, demolition waste and construction materials are not permitted.
- Residents should follow the traffic pattern outlined by cones/signage
- No landscapers, contractors, tree services, etc. are permitted

Solterra, the township's contractor for several years has told officials that labor shortage and other issues were causing the problems.
