Replenish, Stop & Shop To Host Food Drive In East Brunswick Saturday

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — Middlesex County's food organization and distribution service, REPLENISH, is teaming up with Stop & Shop to host a one-day food drive on Saturday.

The food drive will be held from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. at six Stop & Shop stores in Middlesex County - East Brunswick, Edison, Highland park Monroe and Piscataway. The food drive will benefit the growing number of families in Middlesex County in need of assistance.

In 2021, REPLENISH distributed over 4.3 million pounds of food, an increase of more than 93 percent since the pandemic began in March of 2020.

The Stop& Shop Middlesex County locations participating in the food drive are East Brunswick - 647 Route 18 South; Edison - 1049 US Highway 1 South; Edison - 1083 Inman Avenue; High­land Park - 424 Raritan Avenue; Monroe - 1600 Perrineville Road; Piscataway - 581 Steton Road.

Here are the non-perishable items needed:

• Canned meats
• Macaroni and cheese
• Granola bars
• Diapers and wipes
• Paper products
• Soap
• Shampoo
• Toothpaste
• Fruits
• Stew
• Cereal
• Rice
• Pasta
• Vegetables
• Dry beans

Monetary donations will be accepted online at feedingmiddlesexcounty.org or by checks made payable to Feeding Middlesex County and mailed to PO Box 781, Edison, NJ 08818.
