Roads Closed After Water Main Break in East Brunswick
East Brunswick had to turn off the water supply Tuesday after a water main ruptured underneath Edna Street.

East Brunswick, NJ - The township of East Brunswick had to turn off the water supply Tuesday after a water main ruptured underneath Edna Street Tuesday morning.
The main break has now resulted in several road closures Wednesday as crews repair the roads that were dug up overnight in an effort to fix the main. The water main ruptured at approximately 9 a.m. Tuesday and crews were out working until 2 a.m. Wednesday trying to fix it, a township employee tells Patch.
Roads are closed in the area of Edna St., Hilltop Blvd. and Sunset Blvd., East Brunswick police announced at 9 a.m. Wednesday. Due to the water main break, Edna Street will be closed from Milltown Road to Sunset Boulevard.

Hilltop Boulevard will be closed between Sunset Boulevard and Edna Street. Residents will be provided access to their homes located within these closures. Detours are in place and look for signs.
