Rt. 1 in North Brunswick Down To 1 Lane Due to Serious Crash Tuesday

NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Almost all lanes of Route 1 in North Brunswick were closed Tuesday morning due to a serious motor vehicle accident. The crash occurred at Route 1 and North Oaks Boulevard, North Brunswick police said, and involved a car and a box truck.

All lanes of Route 1 were closed northbound, and one lane was closed southbound as of 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, NJ.com reported. "It's just a horrible scene," Tamara Smith told NJ.com from inside the nearby Dunkin Donuts, who heard the crash and saw the car get pushed by the truck onto Route 1. "I just pray everyone is OK."
