Rt. 18 Roadwork To Begin Mid-September In East Brunswick
NJDOT will install warning signs ahead of commencing roadwork.
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – The much-awaited roadwork on Route 18 is scheduled to begin in mid-September, officials from the New Jersey Department of Transporation said.
Ahead of commencing the roadwork, NJDOT will install warning signs, NJDOT engineer Jignesh Patel said in a letter to township officials.
Work will then begin on utility, drainage crossing, concrete curb & sidewalk, traffic signals improvement, milling and paving.

All work will be done at night, leaving the roads usable during the day. Work is expected to be completed on or before November 2026, NJDOT said.
