Saint Peter’s and EBPL Present Autoimmune Diseases Program

Marlene Marte Furment, MD, will present a lecture on why autoimmune diseases happen.

Saint Peter’s University Hospital and East Brunswick Public Library present an online lecture via Zoom on autoimmune diseases on Friday, November 5 at noon.

Autoimmune diseases—which include rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and inflammatory bowel disease—result from your immune system attacking your body instead of foreign invaders like bacteria or viruses.

Marlene Marte Furment, MD, will present a lecture on why autoimmune diseases happen. Dr. Furment will share examples of autoimmune diseases, along with the most common signs and symptoms, and diagnostic tools and treatment options.
