Same-Day Delivery Coming To East Brunswick Target

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — Same-day delivery is coming to the East Brunswick Target.

Delivery from the East Brunswick Target on Ryder's Lane begins next Thursday, July 26, making East Brunswick (technically Milltown) one of the first Targets in the nation to offer same-day home delivery.

Only select Targets have been chosen for the launch; same-day delivery service is not available at the North Brunswick Target, for example. But all Mercer County Targets will offer it, the company says.

The big news was just announced today, Thursday, July 19 by a company called Shipt, which has partnered with Target to provide same-day delivery of many of their items to customers throughout New Jersey. Shipt also partnered to provide same-day delivery for Morton Williams supermarkets, which has a location in Jersey City.

Shipt promises the items you buy at Target, including groceries, can be delivered to your door within an hour of ordering them online. It's part of how many stores, such as Wal-Mart and ShopRite, are now offering home delivery to compete with Amazon.

Here's Target's entire same-day delivery plan in New Jersey:

• Atlantic City, East Brunswick, Mercer County, Monmouth County, Tom's River and Vineland, New Jersey: Target delivery will begin July 26
• Hackettstown, Morristown and North Jersey, New Jersey: Target delivery will begin August 2.
• Edison, Jersey City and Newark, New Jersey: Target delivery will begin August 2; Morton Williams delivery will begin August 9.

To celebrate the announcement, new Shipt members in New Jersey who sign up before August 9 will receive an annual membership for $49 (regularly $99).
