The Central New Jersey Silver Bullets U-14 Wildcats won the Jerse Area Girls Soccer Championship this season. The team went undefeated and scored 17 goals for, conceded two goals against and had two shut outs. The Wildcats played and defeated Northern Burlington Sol 3-0, U.S. Parma Vittoria 5-1, Jackson Intensity 5-0 and the Jersey Knights Force 4-1. The CNJSB Wildcats are coached and trained by Corrado Carbone. He is assisted by Lou LaRocca and Carlos Pino    Congratulations to all the players and families for a great weekend of soccer. The CNJSB Wildcats are looking to add a few experienced players born on or after August 1 1996 . The team will be competing in JAGS/MAPS, US Club, college and showcase events. Alma Micic was born and raised in Belgrade, Serbia. At the age of 16 she started performing with a local quartet at a time when jazz was making a big comeback in Belgrade. Soon she became a frequent guest vocalist with the Radio Belgrade Big Band and began touring and appearing at many local jazz festivals as well as television and radio broadcasts. In 1995, she received a scholarship to attend the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. Alma graduated in 1999 with a BM in Jazz Performance. Alma has been a resident of New York City since 2000. She has appeared at prominent venues such as the Jazz Standard, Scullers, as well as various international festivals and concert halls. Her first album "Introducing Alma", hailed as "a striking debut" by Jazz Review, received radio airplay throughout the US, including Voice of America, XM Satellite Radio and international radio stations in South America, Japan and Europe. Alma Micic was also featured in a one-hour NPR/WGBH Radio special “The Jazz Songbook.” Featured articles include Swing Journal (Japan), Concerto Magazine (Austria), Jazzman and Citizen Jazz (France). She has received numerous awards such as the Cleo Laine Award for Outstanding Musicianship and Bronx Council on the Arts BRIO Award.Alma's highly anticipated new album "The Hours" beautifully displays her songwriting and arranging talents in addition to her exquisite singing.

Rale Micic is one of the most successful and critically acclaimed jazz musicians to emerge from Serbia. Audiences throughout the world have been captivated by Micic’s mesmerizing music, exploring interaction between his Serbian musical roots and his extensive knowledge of jazz.
With three albums released on CTA Records, Rale Micic created a cult-like following among music fans with his mix of jazz and haunting melodies from the Balkans. On his second release entitled Serbia, Micic establishes himself as one of the most inventive voices on the music scene today, featuring renowned Grammy-nominated trumpet player Tom Harrell, and was called “mellow, tight and tasteful” by Downbeat. His trio album, symbolically titled “3”, is an entrancing trio record described as “a groove heavy record… pure listening pleasure”.
On his new album entitled Night Music (Whaling City Sound), Rale looks closer to home for his inspiration. It features all new music, a “modern day” re-imaging of Bela Bartok’s idea of night music and what it would sound like in the city today.
Rale Micic has been featured in numerous publications including Downbeat, JazzTimes, LA Times, San Diego Tribune, Boston Globe, etc. He has performed at prominent jazz clubs and music festivals in US and Europe including Village Vanguard, Catalina Jazz Club, Blues Alley, Scullers Jazz Club, Dizzy’s, Smalls, San Jose Jazz Festival, Hartford International Jazz Festival, etc.
As a sideman, Micic has worked with the jazz artists such as Tom Harrell, Don Friedman, Eric Alexander, Jason and Delfayo Marsalis, etc. He is a member of Tom Harrell Chamber Ensemble and is featured on critically acclaimed release First Impression (2015 High Note). Rale Micic plays Sadowsky guitars and D’Addario strings.

Kiddie Academy of East Brunswick will host STEM Adventures on Friday, May 8 at 5 p.m. Families of children ages 2 and up are invited to attend this free event to participate in several hands-on, play-based activities focusing on science, technology, engineering and math.&nbsp;

Participating Academies will facilitate STEM activities like bowling, making and flying paper airplanes, participating in a bouncing ball rodeo or creating a ping pong ball launcher.
