Single Session For East Brunswick High School Tuesday Due To Heat
Due to the lack of air conditioning in the facility, students will follow a single session schedule at the high school.
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — Students of East Brunswick High School will follow a single session schedule on Tuesday, due to high heat and lack of air conditioning in the facility, district officials said.
It will be a full workday for high school staff and all other district schools and facilities will continue with a full day schedule as they are air-conditioned, district officials said.
While Memorial Day was sunny skies and beach weather, Tuesday is expected to be the warmest day of the week with highs reaching the 90- to the 95-degree range at most locations, according to the National Weather Service.

"But temperatures are set to cool later in the day going into Wednesday. "This last day of May features very warm to hot conditions, however heat indices will not be too far from the actual air temps. A backdoor cold front, from the northeast, arrives tonight and lingers Wednesday, bringing cooling to at least parts of the region," the National Weather Service tweeted Tuesday.
There is also a chance of thunderstorms on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the agency said.
