South River Police Seize 425 Decks of Heroin
A home on Whitehead Avenue near Edward Grekoski park was a heroin distribution hub, police said.

SOUTH RIVER, NJ — A 31-year-old South River man was arrested this month after police raided his home and said they found 425 decks of heroin inside. The property, on Whitehead Avenue near Edward Grekoski park, was a massive drug distribution hub, police said.
The raid was executed at 7 a.m. on Thursday, May 11. The raid and search warrant came after a long-term narcotics investigation by South River detectives.
In the raid, more than eight bricks of heroin were seized, totaling 425 decks total. Drug paraphernalia was also seized. The resident, identified as Antonio Cruz, 31, was arrested and charged with possession of and possession with the intent to distribute heroin, possession with the intent to distribute heroin within 500 feet of a park (Edward Grekoski park) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
