South River 'Spa' Raided, Was Prostitution Parlor, Police Say

Police said they received several complaints about Golden Spa, at 268 Main Street in South River. It is owned by an East Brunswick man.

SOUTH RIVER, NJ — After receiving numerous complaints from residents that prostitution was going on there, police and detectives with the Middlesex County prosecutor's office raided a massage parlor in South River earlier this month.

Police said they had received several complaints from the public about Golden Spa, located at 268 Main Street in South River, New Jersey. As a result of a two-month investigation, it was determined that employees offered sexual acts in exchange for money. The spa was raided at 5 p.m. on Sept. 5 and a search warrant was executed.

Two employees, identified as Yuxiang Ji, 48, of Tuckerton, New Jersey and Adan Ji, 40, of South River, were placed under arrest. Ji was charged with promoting prostitution and engaging in prostitution. Adan Ji was charged with two counts of engaging in prostitution.

The owner of Golden Spa was identified as Jimmy An, 61, of East Brunswick. He was charged with maintaining a nuisance and money laundering.

With assistance from a South River building official, the business has been shut down due to numerous code violations. This investigation is active and continuing. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Joseph Castellano of the South River Police Department at (732) 254-9002 ext.106.
