Starting Thursday, New Speed Limits On 3 East Brunswick Roads

Starting Thursday, the police department is lowering speed limits on three key, highly-used East Brunswick roadways:

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — In an effort to make East Brunswick roads safer, the police department is lowering speed limits on three key, highly-used East Brunswick roadways.

The roads, with their new speed limits are:

Riva Avenue: Lowered from 40 mph to 30 mph

Church Lane: Lowered from 45 mph to 35 mph

Fresh Ponds Road: Lowered from 40 mph to 35 mph.

The changes take effect this Thursday, May 3. The speeds were reduced following a comprehensive engineering and traffic evaluation, said Lt. Sean Goggins of the East Brunswick police.
