Spotswood Episcopal Church Holds Annual Pig Roast Saturday, Sept. 16

St. Peter's will debut a Sandals Resorts vacation giveaway, selling only 200 chances to win a 3-night, 4-day luxury-included trip for two.

SPOTSWOOD, N.J. — St. Peter’s Episcopal Church has named Spotswood Mayor Ed Seely as the First Honorary Pig Master for its fourth annual Community Pig Roast. The family-fun event will be held this Saturday, September 16 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the historical Church grounds, located at the intersection of Main Street and Devoe Avenue in Spotswood. Proceeds from the Pig Roast will benefit St. Peter’s, one of New Jersey’s oldest, continuously operating faith communities and its extensive charitable work in the greater Spotswood area including the popular Wednesday Night Community Suppers, outreach garden, Alice’s CUP food pantry and Thrift Shop.

Tickets cost $20 per person or $60 for a four-meal, “buy 3, get 1 free” value-package including:

  • Suppers of box-roasted whole pig, baked beans, fresh coleslaw and local corn-on-the-cob and soft drink
  • Vegetarian option available
  • Musical entertainment by DJ Ryan Galway
  • Kid-friendly face-painting and bounce house
  • 50/50 and Gift Basket Tricky Tray
  • $5 kid’s meal of hot dog, chips and drink
  • Meals may be purchased for take-out
  • BYOB – wine and beer only
