Stash of Heroin, Guns Kept in East Brunswick Home, Police Say
The East Brunswick SWAT team raided a home on Dalston Street.
East Brunswick, NJ - East Brunswick police uncovered a stash of heroin, cocaine and guns being kept in a Township home last month.
The department's Anti-Crime unit, plus the East Brunswick SWAT team, raided a home on Dalston Street in the early morning hours of Tuesday, May 17.
After searching the home, law enforcement found heroin, cocaine and various prescription pills, as well as $5,000 in cash (suspected drug money), a stun gun and a rifle. Hypodermic needles were also lying around the home, indicating the heroin was being used inside, as well as sold.

The early-morning raid was the result of a two-month investigation by East Brunswick PD into Lazaro Ruiz, 46, who was renting a room from Michael Rangel, 29, the home's owner. Both were arrested for possession of heroin, distribution of heroin and other charges.
Two women found in the home during the raid, Samantha Miller, 32, from New Brunswick, and Angelica Nicastro, 29, from Clifton (originally from East Brunswick), were also arrested.

Phillip Painter, 31, of Staten Island, was arrested as well. All were inside the home during the raid.
