Student Athlete From East Brunswick Has Perseverance, Integrity

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — We all know student athletes who also bring their A-game to other parts of their lives.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. We’re working to let all your neighbors know the individual stories behind the leaderboard.

Why do you believe the star student athlete should be recognized?

Although not affiliated with his local high school, Connor has been attending FastKix Taekwondo school in Spotswood for the last 10 years. He has attained the third degree black belt rank, competed in tournaments throughout multiple states, and always shows good sportsmanship, win or lose. He has competed in national Amateur Athletic Union competitions in Florida and Nevada.

The staff at FastKix is top notch including the owner Master Ballon, his son Master Charles, Master Gabe and Master Sue. Connor now works as a junior instructor for 2 days a week.
He's received numerous outstanding student awards and most recently outstanding instructor. He's also an Amateur Athletic Union certified Junior referee and has been an AAU member for the past 10 years. His dedication to physical fitness and the tenants of taekwondo have always impressed me immensely.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star student athlete?

In everyday life Connor adheres to the tenants of Taekwondo - courtesy, perseverance, integrity, self-control, and an indomitable spirit. Connor has always maintained a good grade point average.
