EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ— A 17-year-old girl has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a classmate at school, Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey said on Friday.
During a fight in a bathroom on Tuesday at the Middlesex County Vocational and Technical High School, a 17-year-old girl allegedly stabbed a 15-year-old classmate, Carey said. Neither girl's identity was released.
According to NJ.com, the alleged victim was stabbed with scissors in or near her eye. Her father reportedly told the paper, "The stab didn't touch the brain. But it's too early to tell if there was any nerve damage because of the swelling. Her eye is stitched shut."
