Traffic, Parking Details For East Brunswick July 4 Celebrations

Here's a handy guide for what to expect from East Brunswick's Independence Day celebrations:

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - The township will be celebrating Independence Day with music, food and fireworks. The celebrations begin at 6 p.m. onwards at Community Arts Center, 721 Cranbury Road. Rain date is set for Tuesday.

Here's a handy guide for what to expect:

Parking:

  • Parking will be available at the Community Arts Center using the entrance/exit off of the Cranbury Road side only. All Handicapped Parking is available in this parking lot.
  • Middlesex County Fairgrounds: Parking will be available at the Middlesex County Fairgrounds using the entrance/exit off of Cranbury Road.
  • Heavenly Farms: Parking will be available at Heavenly Farms using the entrance/exit off of Dunhams Corner Road. There are three parking lots available. An attendant will direct cars based on the amount of traffic.
  • No Parking Zones: There is absolutely no stopping, standing, or parking permitted on Cranbury Road, Dunhams Corner Road, Helmetta Boulevard, Kingswood Boulevard, or any other street that is posted with temporary no parking signs. Any vehicle left in a no parking zone will be ticketed and towed.

Exiting:

  • Community Arts Center: All exiting traffic at the Community Arts Center will utilize one of two exits. All traffic exiting onto Cranbury Road will be directed to turn right and will be permitted to turn left onto Helmetta Boulevard or continue straight on Cranbury Road towards South Brunswick. All traffic exiting onto Dunhams Corner Road will be directed to turn left. Traffic will then be permitted to continue straight onto Helmetta Boulevard or turn right onto Cranbury Road towards South Brunswick.
  • Middlesex County Fairgrounds: All exiting traffic at the Middlesex County Fairgrounds will be directed to turn left onto Cranbury Road going towards Route 18.
  • Heavenly Farms: All exiting traffic will be directed to turn right onto Dunhams Corner Road going towards Church Lane.

  • This is not a drop-off/pick-up event as incoming traffic at the conclusion may be held or re-directed.
  • Be patient, watch for pedestrians and be mindful of officers directing traffic. Delays are expected.
  • Cross-traffic at nearby intersections will also be held to allow exiting traffic the right of way.
  • Take a photo of your child just prior to the event to assist in locating them if they happen to get lost.
  • Residents are urged to leave all pets at home.
