Upcoming Webinar Explains How to Be Smoke-Free for Good

"Tobacco Cessation" is offered through East Brunswick Public Library's Just For The Health of It! consumer health information initiative.

Saint Peter’s University Hospital and East Brunswick Public Library team up for the online program “Tobacco Cessation: Benefits, Methods and How to Be Smoke-Free for Good” on Thursday, November 18 at 2:00 pm.

Led by Denise Kosnar, APN, and Robin Bergeron, PA-C, from the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at Saint Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, this presentation reviews the benefits of quitting tobacco, methods to quit, and how to start your journey to being smoke-free. As an advance nurse practitioner and certified physician assistant, respectively, Kosnar and Bergeron see patients independently and are passionate about assisting patients in obtaining and maintaining asthma control.

Kosnar grew up in Piscataway and is a proud New Jersey native. She completed her medical education at Rutgers University while working as a nurse at Saint Peter’s.

Bergeron is originally from Wisconsin but moved to New Jersey to attend the Physician Assistant program at Rutgers University. Along with her role as a certified physician assistant, she developed and manages Saint Peter’s Lung Health Program, a comprehensive initiative focused on screening for lung cancer, monitoring lung nodules, and managing patients with lung cancer.
