The club is already nearing half-capacity; so all registrations are subject to acceptance by the club. Club founder Charles Sheard said no registration checks will be cashed until registrations are accepted.

Sessions will last for one hour for 12 weeks and will be led by experienced players or coaches. Players will focus on technical instruction, not competition, and will be trained in academy style environment, not as teams.

According to its website, Helios’ mission is to supply qualified volleyball instruction to young girls in Central New Jersey, and an opportunity to play the game in an age-appropriate environment. If the club catches on, it will be expanded to include boys and older players.

Registration is $60 for the club membership fee, plus $15 (depending on age) for membership in USA Volleyball.

The club is now incorporated and is expected to become a member of the East Brunswick Coalition of Athletic Organizations.
