Between 4 to 8 inches of snow is expected to fall, the weather service said.
Snowfall may be heavy Thursday afternoon and wind gusts up to 20 mph are possible.

Temperatures reached 31 degrees in the morning, but will hover in the mid- to high 20s in the afternoon and then continue to drop in the evening.
noon to 6 p.m.: 27 to 24 degrees, snow
7 p.m. to midnight: 24 to 18 degrees, light snow, cloudy
Friday
The high temperature will be in the mid-20s. Friday morning will be very cold: temperatures will be in the single digits and teens, but with the wind chill, it could feel as cold as -2. The worst wind chill factors will be between 3 a.m. and 9 a.m.
1 a.m. to 6 a.m.: 14 to 8 degrees, but feels like 3 to -1
7 a.m. to 10 a.m.: 7 to 19 degrees, but feels like -2 to 13
11 a.m. to 4 p.m.: 21 to 25 degrees
5 p.m. to 9 p.m.: 23 to 18 degrees
10 p.m. to midnight: 17 to 15 degrees

The day will be partly sunny, with highs around 36 degrees. The low will be around 24.
