EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — A woman accidentally drove her car into the Days Inn motel in East Brunswick Monday night, Township police said. One guest staying in the motel, which is just south of where Rt. 18 crosses the Jersey Turnpike, said she thought at first it was an earthquake.
The Parlin woman, Lenibeth Estrada, 40, was not injured in the accident. She had been trying to park when she instead accelerated and drove into the building, police said. She drove into an unoccupied room on the first floor.
The accident happened at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Days Inn at 195 Rt 18. Police are still investigating.
