EAST HANOVER, NJ - The East Hanover Office of Emergency Management is hosting a free Public Safety Day in the Park at Lurker Park on Saturday, May 16, from noon to 3 p.m.
The event, billed as a touch-a-truck and public safety recruitment day, will bring together multiple township departments and emergency services for a meet-and-greet with residents.
Participating agencies include the East Hanover Volunteer Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), East Hanover Police Department, East Hanover Volunteer Fire Department and Bureau of Fire Prevention, East Hanover Emergency Medical Services, East Hanover Health Department, East Hanover Department of Public Works, East Hanover Recreation Department and other public safety partners.
Hot dogs, pizza truck, ice truck, snacks and beverages will be served. Pony rides will also be available.
Residents may drop off diabetic syringes at the East Hanover Health Department booth during the event.
