EAST HANOVER, NJ — East Hanover families should plan for a day off from school Monday, Sept. 21, as the district closes for Yom Kippur.
The East Hanover Township School District will close its schools Monday in observance of Yom Kippur, according to the district's calendar.
The school closure affects Frank J. Smith School, Central Elementary School and East Hanover Middle School.
Hanover Park High School, which is located in East Hanover and is part of the separate Hanover Park Regional High School District, will also be closed Monday for Yom Kippur, according to the district's 2026-27 calendar.
