EAST HANOVER, NJ — New Jersey has plenty of strange stories, and some of them are getting the spotlight in East Hanover.
The East Hanover Public Library will host "Weird NJ Presents: Legends, Lore, & Local Mysteries!" from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15.
Mark Moran, a publisher at Weird NJ, will present mysterious stories from New Jersey, with a focus on the Morris and Essex county areas, according to the event flyer.
Weird NJ began 33 years ago as a newsletter featuring "odd news, bizarre facts, little-known historical anecdotes and anomalous encounters" from around the state, according to the library.
The publication later expanded into books and a television series. Its 65th magazine issue is scheduled for release this month and will be available for purchase at the event.
