The East Hanover Middle School MathCounts Team
East Hanover Middle School competed in the Math Counts Chapter Competition. The MathCounts Program is a national middle school program that promotes mathematics achievement.
On February 2, 2013, the East Hanover Middle School MathCounts Team attended the MathCounts Chapter Competition. The competition was held in South Orange, NJ at Liberty Middle School.
The MathCounts Program is a national middle school coaching and competitive mathematics program that promotes mathematics achievement through a series of fun and engaging “bee” style contests.
Eighth Graders Tina Lu and Nicole Tipple, as well as Seventh Graders Brendon Gu, Paolo Arante and Matthew Murray competed as a team for EHMS and finished 9th out of 29 teams. Brendon Gu and Tina Lu placed 6th and 17th, respectively out of 228 students. EHMS is extremely proud of its mathletes.
