Whippany Park High School December Student of the Month

The recipient of Whippany Park High School’s December Student of the Month award is senior Alexa Cozzarelli. A caring, kind, and outgoing member of the school community, Alexa showcases through her level of dedication and numerous notable achievements that she represents the best of Whippany Park.

Alexa’s strengths are diverse. A talented and dedicated musician, Alexa has participated for four years in Whippany Park’s marching band, symphonic band, and wind ensemble. Also an athlete, Alexa has spent her four years of high school involved in the soccer, winter track, and softball programs. Her athleticism has further been recognized through her attainment of the Presidential Physical Fitness Award.

Additionally, Alexa has demonstrated leadership, serving as the class president for the Class of 2013 during both her junior and senior years. She currently serves as the Charity Drive Leader for Whippany Park’s chapter of The National Honors Society, an organization which Alexa has been involved with for two years.

Alexa’s academic success and quality of character have not gone unnoticed. Alexa has earned multiple designations on Whippany Park’s Distinguished and High Honor Rolls. Furthermore, she has been selected to the prestigious New Jersey Girls State Program and has been a recipient of the school’s Random Act of Kindness Award.

In everything she does for her school, Alexa Cozzarelli sets an example for her peers, making her a deserving winner of December Student of the Month.
