Whippany Park High School January Student of the Month
Whippany Park High School has selected senior Joseph Torrisi as the January 2013 Student of the Month.

Whippany Park High School senior Joseph Torrisi has been announced as the January Student of the Month. Described by a faculty member as “an independent thinker with high moral standards,” Joe has earned the respect of peers and faculty alike.
A well-rounded member of the Whippany Park class of 2013, Joe has succeeded in his academic and extracurricular commitments. His enrollment in honors and Advanced Placement courses has resulted in multiple designations on the school’s high honor roll. His academic achievements along with his dedication to the ideals of leadership, character, and service have played a part in his selection to the National Honors Society and to the prestigious Boys State Program.
Joe’s team-oriented spirit is showcased in his extracurricular involvement to Whippany Park. As an athlete, he’s been a three-year participant in the basketball program and a four-year member of the baseball team. Additionally, Joe is active in other school organizations, including the Spanish Club and Whippany Park’s environmental club, S.E.E.K., where he contributed hours to the One Day-One School beautification project.
