Whippany Park High School May Student of the Month: Niraj Patel

Senior Niraj Patel, an active member of the Whippany Park High School community, receives the honor of May Student of the Month.

Whippany Park High School has selected senior Niraj Patel as the May Student of the Month. Niraj is a student leader who demonstrates a deep involvement in many facets of school life. His self-motivated and dedicated approach has led to continued academic success. Throughout his four years at the high school, he has excelled with a rigorous course load of Honors and Advanced Placement courses, resulting in multiple designations on the Distinguished Honor Roll. He is also a two-year member of the National Honors Society and has been selected to the prestigious New Jersey Boys State Program.

Niraj’s commitment and versatility are evidenced by his extensive involvement in co-curriculars. As an athlete, Niraj is a four-year participant in the tennis program and a three-year participant in the soccer program. A well-rounded individual, Niraj has also made four-year commitments to the Whippany Park marching band, the E.R.A.S.E. (End Racism and Sexism Everywhere) Club, and the service organization Interact.

A natural leader, Niraj holds several important positions within the school community. He serves as president of the Mock Trial team, treasurer of Future Business Leaders of America, and secretary of the environmental club S.E.E.K. Additionally, he currently carries out the role of World News Editor for the school newspaper The Wildcat’s Roar.

Niraj’s devotion to his academics and community involvement along with his friendly and optimistic nature mark him as an outstanding role model for his peers and a deserving recipient of the Student of the Month honor.
