East Hanover Columbus Day Parade Coming: What To Know

The Morris County Columbus Day Parade will celebrate Italian heritage in East Hanover, with participants gathering Sunday.

EAST HANOVER, NJ — East Hanover is preparing for its annual Columbus Day parade this weekend, bringing a celebration of Italian heritage to the township.

The Morris County Columbus Day Parade is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 11, according to the Italian American Police Society of New Jersey.

The parade, hosted by the East Hanover Italian American Club, will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, along Ridgedale Avenue, according to the event's Facebook announcement.

Participants with the Italian American Police Society of New Jersey are scheduled to gather at 1 p.m. near the intersection of Ridgedale and DeForest avenues, according to the society's website.

The parade is sponsored by the East Hanover Italian American Club, which says the tradition celebrates Italian heritage, pride and culture.
