Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash in East Hanover: Police

EAST HANOVER, NJ — A fatal accident occurred Thursday night after a pickup truck veered off the roadway on Route 280 and overturned, New Jersey State Police said.

The rear passenger in the 1992 Dodge Dakota pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver was listed in stable condition. The two other passengers in the truck were treated for non life-threatening injuries.

The truck was going westbound and ran off the roadway near milepost 3.2 in East Hanover. Two lanes were closed for approximately three hours while police investigated the accident.

There were no other vehicles in the crash.
