Florham Park Police Officer Promoted To Captain

FLORHAM PARK, NJ— Joseph Orlando was promoted to the rank of Captain at last night's Florham Park Borough Council meeting.

His promotion comes after the retirement of Captain Mark Garcia.

Orlando is a 19-year member of the force. He began in 1999 in the patrol division, where he won several awards and commendations, particularly for his work with drug and alcohol offenses.

Since then, Orlando has served as an undercover narcotics investigator, and the head of the Division of Investigations.

He graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with Bachelors and Masters degrees.
