Free Public Safety Day Coming To East Hanover's Lurker Park Saturday
Meet police, fire, EMS, and more at the May 16 event, plus food trucks, pony rides, and diabetic syringe drop-off.
EAST HANOVER, NJ — The township's Office of Emergency Management is inviting residents to come out and meet their local public safety teams at a free community event this weekend.
The Township of East Hanover Public Safety Day in the Park is scheduled for Saturday, from noon to 3 p.m. at Lurker Park.
The event, billed as a Touch-A-Truck and public safety recruitment day, will feature representatives from the East Hanover Police Department, Volunteer Fire Department and Bureau of Fire Prevention, Emergency Medical Services, Health Department, Department of Public Works, Recreation Department, and the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), among other public safety partners.

Hot dogs, pizza, ice cream, snacks and beverages will be served. Pony rides will also be available.
Residents are also welcome to drop off diabetic syringes at the East Hanover Health Department booth during the event.
