Free Skin Cancer Screening Coming To East Hanover. Here's How To Register

The East Hanover and Roseland health departments are partnering for the June 24 event at the Senior Citizens' Center.

EAST HANOVER, NJ - The East Hanover Township Health Department and Roseland Board of Health will hold a free skin cancer screening June 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Senior Citizens' Center, 96 Mt. Pleasant Ave., East Hanover.

Skin cancer screenings have educated millions of people about sun protection and early detection, and have helped identify melanomas at their earliest and most treatable stage, according to the American Academy of Dermatology Association. The AAD encourages everyone to take steps to prevent skin cancer and detect it early.

Early detection is especially important for men over 50, who face a heightened risk of developing melanoma compared to the general population.
