
EAST HANOVER, NJ — A house fire in East Hanover knocked out power near South Ridgedale Avenue Saturday night, East Hanover police said.
The fire broke out around 7 p.m. on Saturday at 136 Ridgedale Ave. The three residents were already out of the home.
Firefighters from East Hanover, Florham Park, Whippany and Livingston worked to put out the blaze in sub-zero temperatures, police said. The fire started in the attic, and although the cause is unknown, does not appear to be suspicious.

One resident was treated for smoke inhalation and a laceration on her foot, but refused treatment at a hospital.
Power was restored to the area by JCP&L by 10 p.m.
