Incumbents Retain Seats in East Hanover, Florham Park

Republican Mark Taylor to complete Florham Park's unexpired mayoral term.

East Hanover and Florham Park residents voted Tuesday to keep their incumbents in office.

Republican Mark Taylor was elected to complete Florham Park's unexpired two-year mayoral term. Taylor earned 55 percent of the vote to beat Democratic challenger John Aden's 30 percent and Independent Charles A. Germershausen's 16 percent.

Fellow GOP members Thomas Michalowski and William Zuckerman, who each earned 32 percent of the vote, defeated Democratic challengers Peter Nicholas and John Upton for three-year seats on Florham Park's borough council.

Republican Giuseppe Peluso defeated Democrat William Salemme for a three-year term on East Hanover's town council.

Incumbents Anthony Barisciano and Catherine Pfund-Olsen each earned new three-year terms on East Hanover's Board of Education.

John Carollo, Kevin DeCoursey and Marianne Haynes all ran unopposed for three-year seats on Florham Park's school board.
