Jail Time For East Hanover 5 Guys Robber
The former employee was sentenced to five years for robbing the Five Guys at knifepoint.

EAST HANOVER, NJ — A former employee who robbed the East Hanover Five Guys at knifepoint was sentenced to five years in jail.
Alteriek F. Scott, 39, of Irvington, was high on pills when he entered an unlocked door and demanded cash from an employee while brandishing a knife, the Daily Record reported. He pled guilty in December, and will have to serve 85 percent of his five year sentence before becoming eligible for parole.
Scott robbed the restaurant after closing time on Aug. 12, 2017. He told the court he stole over $500 in cash in order to buy more drugs.
