Trader Joe's In Florham Park Evacuated Due to 'Suspicious Device'
Police said they were investigating a suspicious device in the Walgreen's parking lot. A shopper reported a detonation after the evacuation.

A suspicious device was found near Trader Joe’s and Walgreens in Florham Park, causing the business and those nearby to be cleared Monday morning and the road to be closed, shoppers and police say.
Florham Park police confirmed via Facebook there was a “suspicious device” in the area of Trader Joe’s and Walgreens, off Columbia Turnpike. Police closed the road and asked drivers to avoid the area.
Shortly after, the police department announced the situation had been resolved and the road had been reopened.

A shopper at the store told Patch everyone was evacuated from Trader Joe’s surrounding businesses around 11 a.m. and about a half hour later there was a detonation.
Florham Park Police did not immediately return a call for comment.
