2 Arrested, $20K In Cocaine Seized In Drug Bust: Prosecutor

Two women were arrested following a traffic stop last week.

Two people were arrested and $20,000 in cocaine were seized following a month-long investigation by the Mercer County Narcotics Task Force, the prosecutor’s office announced.

The task force learned that a woman would be transporting a large amount of cocaine in a Honda Civic. The car was seen leaving the New Jersey Turnpike via Exit 7A on Oct. 26, according to the prosecutor's office. Officers followed the car, and stopped it when it reached Hamilton Avenue.

The driver and a passenger were arrested without incident. During a subsequent search of the car, police said they found 201 grams of powder cocaine in the trunk.
