60 Hightstown High School Choir Students Perform Vivaldi's Gloria At Carnegie Hall
The Advanced Choir and Schola Cantorum joined more than 100 voices on one of the world's most celebrated stages on June 6.

EAST WINDSOR, NJ - Sixty Hightstown High School choir students traveled to New York City on June 6 for a rare opportunity: performing Vivaldi's Gloria on the stage of Carnegie Hall.
The HHS Advanced Choir and Schola Cantorum joined three other ensembles — including two groups from Puerto Rico and one from Orlando, Florida — to form a combined choir of more than 100 voices. The New Jersey contingent made up the largest portion of the ensemble.
The performance filled the historic auditorium with what organizers described as incredible energy, giving students not only a chance to perform on one of the world's most celebrated stages but also to collaborate with fellow musicians from across the country and Puerto Rico.

The HHS Music Department credited the achievement to the sustained support of parents, chaperones, school administrators and community members who backed the students throughout the process of preparing for and executing an undertaking of that scale.
