• 3 New Officers Join the East Windsor Police Department (patch.com) — Three newly hired officers are joining the East Windsor Police Department, following their swearing-in by Mayor Janice Mironov at the April 14 Township Council meeting. Two recruits are finishing training at the Mercer County Police Academy, while one recently graduated from the Ocean County Police Academy. The additions bolster the department’s Uniform Services Division serving local residents.    

• Union County Senior Art Exhibit Featuring 180 Works Now On View (patch.com) — East Windsor will host the statewide New Jersey Senior Citizens’ Art Show this fall, where first-place winners from Union County’s senior exhibit will be displayed. Union County residents can currently see more than 180 artworks by local seniors in Scotch Plains through May 27, with categories ranging from painting and photography to sculpture and crafts.
