EAST WINDSOR, NJ — Mercer County will host a free World Cup quarterfinal watch party on Saturday, July 11, from 3 to 11 p.m. at the Festival Grounds in Mercer County Park in West Windsor, according to the county's Division of Travel and Tourism.
The event, called "Mercer County Welcomes the World Soccer Watch Party," will feature FIFA World Cup quarterfinal matches shown on a big screen, with Maxima Radio broadcasting the games live.
Several community organizations will offer soccer-themed activities throughout the day, including the Trenton Ironhawks, the Trenton Thunder, the West Windsor-Plainsboro Soccer Association, TachyonLeap Inc., the Windsor Athletic Club, Play Soccer Trenton, Real Central NJ Soccer, Trenton Makes Athletic Center, and JG Soccer Strength and Conditioning. Attendees can take part in soccer skills challenges, training demonstrations, a mini soccer field, and soccer cornhole, among other activities for all ages.
Nine food vendors will offer a range of options, along with a beer and beverage garden. Family-friendly attractions will also be hosted by Princeton Nursery School, Morven Museum & Garden, Ten Crucial Days, and Grounds for Sculpture.
Admission and parking are free, but registration is required. Complimentary tickets are available at tinyurl.com/MercerSoccerParty. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs, as outside food, beverages, and coolers are not permitted.
