MANSFIELD, NJ — A 17-year-old Trenton girl was killed and two men were injured in a two-car crash in Mansfield on Sunday, police said, according to media reports.
Police were dispatched to Route 206 and Mansfield Road East around 12:35 p.m. after a report of the crash was received. The girl died, while an 18-year-old Trenton man and an 89-year-old Columbus man were injured, NJ.com reported.
According to RLS Media, emergency crews arrived to find a heavily damaged vehicle after it reportedly struck a utility pole, downing wires in the area. One person had reportedly been ejected during the crash, and firefighters conducted an extrication operation to free at least one trapped occupant.
The northbound lanes of Route 206 were shut down while emergency crews worked at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
