DUI, Shoplifting, Trespassing: East Windsor Police Blotter

The East Windsor Police blotter dated Aug. 27 had the following reports:

The following is a summary of incidents as reported by East Windsor Police:

On Aug. 22, at 2:10 a.m., an officer arrested a Hillside, NJ resident for driving under the influence following a motor vehicle stop. The 36-year-old was released in accordance with John's Law.

On Aug. 24 at 11:03 a.m., an officer responded to Patel Brother's for a theft report. The man reportedly walked out of the store without paying for an item. An employee confronted the man, who threw a container at him. Additionally, the East Windsor resident shoved an employee into a shopping cart causing minor injuries. The 36-year-old was found nearby, placed under arrest, and released on a complaint summons pending court action.

On Aug. 24, at 1 p.m., authorities identified a defendant left Home Depot without paying for a Milwaukee drill valued at $239 on Aug. 7. The 48-year-old Trenton resident was charged on a complaint summons pending court action.

On Aug. 25, at 9:54 a.m., an officer arrested an East Windsor resident for trespassing after the defendant received notice that he was barred from the property. The 36-year-old was released on a complaint summons pending court action.

On Aug. 25, at 11:25 a.m., an officer arrested a Hightstown resident for a Hamilton warrant following a pedestrian stop. The 50-year-old was released on his own recognizance.

On Aug. 25, at 6:59 p.m., an officer charged a Monroe, NJ resident for a past shoplifting of motor oil, soda, and pillows at Walmart valued between $200 and $300.

On Aug. 25, at 7:40 p.m., an officer arrested a Trenton NJ resident for a South Brunswick warrant following a motor vehicle stop. The 51-year-old was released on his own recognizance.
