Board of Education Recognizes Three Hightstown High School Teachers

English teachers Elizabeth Dunn and Kate Featherston, and TCNJ professor Emily Meixner, are presenting a professional development session on Nov. 19 at the annual National Council for Teachers of English convention, according to a news release.

The Hightstown High School teachers were recognized at Monday’s Board of Education meeting.

The presentation entitled "Writing Workshop, From the Ground Up," will talk about the benefits of writing workshops in high school classrooms, the release said. The panel will present strategies and resources for implementing, maintaining and assessing writing workshops in diverse secondary English classes.
